The other endangered species
Europe counts every wolf to ensure they survive. But who counts the shepherds disappearing from the map? We are funding the survival of the last traditional families standing between a living heritage and rural abandonment.

Growing up scared.
The Štrbac daughters are growing up on the frontline of 'rewilding' in Croatia's Bukovica region. They know the sound of a wolf pack circling the house. They know why they can't play outside after sunset.
This campaign is restoring a childhood as much as a livelihood. We are crowdfunding the safety that allows them to play carefree outside their family home.

How your donations make a difference
This project is about giving a family their life back. Here is exactly where your money goes beyond the fence.

Psychological Safety
Fear is exhausting. 10% of the funds raised are allocated directly to family well-being, ensuring the Štrbac girls have the support they need to feel like children again, not prisoners in their own home.

The Tradition
If this family quits, a centuries-old lineage of Dalmatian shepherds ends. We are fighting to keep this traditional lifestyle viable for the next generation, rather than forcing them into the city

Peace of Mind
The new high-voltage perimeter and night barn aren't just for sheep. They will provide a secure zone around the family home, allowing the father to sleep at night instead of patrolling with a flashlight.
"I don't hate the wolf. Only a few years ago, I rescued two cubs, nurtured them and released them back into the wild where they belong. But I cannot sacrifice my children's health for them."
